As I said earlier, I'm a box addict !

As I'm stilll waiting for My October Little Box, I just received my Birchbox !

Concept :

13€ per month (delivery included), you have 5 samples (and sometimes a full one) of some beauty products.

This month I received this :

Let's talk about the products !!

Dr Haushka : Hands Cream :
Hydrating, nourishing, containing vegetal oils, and guimauve roots.
Certified natural cosmetics free from synthetic fragrances, dyes and preservatives.
It says that it's a limited edition.
Great Size : 30ml sample (full size 50ml 14€ !)
 Will I use this one ? I don't know... I fell in love with the Whish body cream 2 months ago, I can't use anything else.


Number 4 : Super Comb Prep & Protect (TM)  :
Comb Spray that Hydrates, untangles and protects the hair. "1 pschitt on wet hair = Hair ready ...."
Size : 30ml sample : Enough to try and see if it works or not ! (full size : 200ml 23€)

I'm always ok with hair products. My hair definitely accepts all the hydratation I give !


Lollipops Make Up : Nail Polish "Voyage à Paris"
Intense red on the paper, closer to fushia on my nails... maybe my nails are not ok lol.
FULL SIZE  !! 12ml : 8,90€
I'm a girl, I Love Nail Polish, of course I will keep this one ! I already tried it !!


 TheBalm Cosmetics : Stainiac - Beauty Queen :
Fushia Gloss which can be used as a blush, just like the Benefit's "Benetint".
I'll try it as a gloss, but definitely not as a blush. It seems to be too sticky to be well streched !

Théophile Berthon : Dark Soap Shower & Bath
Without any fragrance. 80% of Olive Oil + 20% of Coco oil. Cauldron boiled, it's naturally made and it cleans the body with a soft and smooth foam.
100% Natural ingredients.
Size : 50ml (full size 500ml 11,90€)
I like Shower soap ! I like to take showers... I can't wait to try it !


So !!

This is definitely not the best birchbox I had... the best one was the August one ! Amazing !
But I'm ok with this one... I mean, for 13€, it could have been worse right ?
I will definitely use 4 of the products, I will trade the hand cream, and find another product I like :)

And I still have My Little Box to come :)

... but Saturdays with kids

I remember when I was 20... I used to wake up at noon, have a brunch at 3pm, have a drink at 7pm, and have dinner at 9pm.

But now, I have a daughter. I wake up at 8:00, have breakfast at 8:30, lunch at 12:00, and activities at 14:00.

Yep, it's the end of glass of wine on a boulevard under the sun in the middle of the afternoon. It's more a bottle of hot water on a bench in the parc round the corner...

But not this time !

We've been to the Tropical Aquarium of Porte Dorée !!

Reasons why it's a great activity :

It's not BIG ! Kids don't have time to get bored or to walk for hours... they just run from a window to another to follow the fishes.
It's cheap ! 11€ for 2 adults and 2 kids, free for kids under 4 yo.


There are some exhibits with rare species. This time we saw :

Nemo & Doris

Some Crocodiles, and a baby one  :

 A creepy one with big teeth !

 A blue ecrevisse !

And this cute fish, which is not so little... I guess the size of a forearm...

 

 She absolutely loved it, She made kisses on the windows and "Hello Fish ! You're my friend !" and waved at the turtles, but not the crocodiles... "they are scary".

Beauty Boxes are my guilty pleasure... and I just have received my "My Little Box" !!!(or MLB)

Concept : For 16€/month, you receive a box , which has a different theme every month. I totally love it !

My Little Box is a lifestyle box more than a beauty box. Every month you have in it :
- My Little World : A little magazine in the spirit of the box. Fashion, lifestyle, DIY...
- A Card drawn by Kanako, with a life quote.
- 2 or 3 beauty products : 1 of My Little Box brand, and one or two other brands
- A goodie (or several) in the theme of the box

Today, I present you My Little Box of September 2014 : My Little School Box !
The Design is Cute ! It looks like a page of a note book. MLB rarely decorates its box this way.

What's in there ???

The Products :

My thoughts :
The concealer : Seems to be efficient, as usual with all the MLB products :)
The perfume : Smells good, the bottle is cute. Will definitely find its place on my messy girly shelf
The Scrub Mask : As I still have 3 other Scrubs to finish, this one will end in the waiting line...

 My thoughts :
The Card Holder : Cute, even if it smell the old goat... I put my transport pass in it, already in my handbag !!
The Pen & The Notebook : Will be perfect at the office, to take some notes ! The design make it really regressive, but that's why I like it...

My Little World magazine
Honestly, I don't read it with attention.
Fashion photos of models with legs size of my arm; talking about products I don't care about...
I take a look at it quickly, but that's it.


So, I do like this box, but not as much as the August one. (you can check all the boxes on www.mylittlebox.fr)
The products are not so convincing, but the goodies are cute. It's a GOOD BOX for this month :)

Let's talk a bit :)

To be honest, I have to tell you that it's my 4th tentative to write a blog.

I consider myself as an anti-creative one. I can't do anything with my hands (you should see my kitchen furniture...) , I barely have any imagination when I try to decorate my house (I moved in 2 years ago, have done nothing yet, because I don't know what to do in there !) or to customize something.... Maybe that's why I'm so admirative of all those creative people (musicians, painters, photographers, and all of those girls/moms/ who have great deco/diy blogs...).

I see myself more as a down-to-earth/boring one... As my mum says it "Darling, you are soooo talented at your work, but please, drop that hammer/pencil/paintbrush/knife slowly and carefully on the floor"

Writing ? I like to write. Yep, it feels good. But I'm not regular in my posting. My last blog has been lost on the internet for a whole year before I find it... and delete it.

I do read blogs sometimes, kind of hazardly to be honest. I Google something and I found myself on a blog 1 hour later... Does it mean I will read this blog later ? Definitely not.

I don't like Fashion blogs ! Am I the only one to think that you definitely must be egocentric and have a "Kanye Ego" to have a good one ? If we look at all those fashion bloggers, who take selfies in a middle of a street, just to show how they wear expensive clothes that they didn't pay for... Don't tell me they do not love themselves as much as they love Beyoncé...

What about me ? well, I think I a normal woman, rich for 2 weeks a month, poor for the 2 others, who just want to talk about weather and so of the little things that come through my mind and my life.
